 On 29th April, 2024 in New Delhi, BRICS CCI had a meeting with Her Excellency Mrs. Dillah Lucienne, Ambassador of the Republic of Chad, along with representatives from the embassy and the Chad Chamber of Commerce. The meeting was a significant step towards fostering collaboration between our nations. Representing BRICS CCI were Dr. BBL Madhukar, Director General, Mr. Ashok Kumar Singh, Mr. Sameep Shastri, Vice Chairman of the Chamber, and Mr. Atul Banshal, Executive Director (International Relations). Together, they engaged in fruitful discussions on avenues for mutual assistance and partnership. 

 In a significant development, representatives from the BRICS CCI WE convened with Mr. Si Wei, Counsellor of the Policy Research Section, and Mr. Wu Yanzhi, Attaché from the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in New Delhi, India on April 26th, 2024. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the unveiling of BRICS CCI's groundbreaking report titled "New Era of BRICS: Horizons in Tech and Business for Women Empowerment." The session served as a platform for engaging in discussions on a multitude of topics, including the exploration of future collaborative ventures. Of particular focus were prospective initiatives in the realms of education, training, and developmental courses. Both parties expressed keen interest in leveraging their respective expertise and resources to pave the way for innovative programs aimed at fostering growth and empowerment. 

 Mr. Ansh Virmani, Country Director - BRICS CCI UAE Chapter, recently attended the prestigious "World of Opportunities" International Business Forum in Dubai, UAE from 22-24 April, 2024. Hosted by the Roscongress Foundation, the event aimed to strengthen cooperation between Russia, MENA, and BRICS economies. It drew attention to the burgeoning trade relations between Russia and the United Arab Emirates, emphasizing a robust 67.7 percent growth in trade over the past year, as highlighted by Russian President Vladimir Putin during bilateral talks in December 2023. With over 2,000 participants in attendance and a global audience exceeding 300,000, the Forum featured panel sessions, exhibitions, and a Startup Track. Mr. Virmani, honored as a guest and speaker, contributed to the panel session on "Multipolar Diplomacy: The role of BRICS in Structuring Global Cooperation."         

Dr. Jitendra Das, Governing Body Member of BRICS CCI, played a crucial role in the "New Era - New Ways" World Forum held in Moscow on April 19, 2024. Organized by the International Organization for Eurasian Cooperation (IOEC), the event gathered global leaders to discuss collaboration amidst shifting geopolitical dynamics. The forum, attended by senior representatives, business leaders, experts, and cultural figures, focused on themes such as the Greater Eurasian Partnership, legislative harmonization, innovation, technology transfer, and cooperation in safeguarding rights and freedoms. Dr. Das contributed significantly during the panel session on "Public Diplomacy as a Tool for Cooperation in a Multipolar World."

Mr. Alok Kumar, Honorary Governing Body Member and Director of BRICS CCI Russia, recently convened a pivotal meeting with prominent diplomatic and economic leaders, including H.E. Vinay Kumar, the Indian Ambassador to Russia, and Ambassador Anil Trigunayat, Senior Advisor of BRICS CCI. The discussions centered on strategies to enhance economic cooperation within the BRICS framework, with a strong emphasis on bolstering India-Russia relations. Together, they explored opportunities for deeper collaboration across various sectors, aiming to leverage the collective strengths of BRICS nations. They also examined initiatives to streamline bilateral trade and investment processes, facilitating smoother transactions between India and Russia.

BRICS CCI Women's Empowerment (WE) made significant progress in fostering international collaboration and economic growth during a meeting with His Excellency Mr. Demeke Atnafu Ambulo, Ambassador of Ethiopia to India, on April 18, 2024. Ms. Ruby Sinha, President of BRICS CCI WE, and Ms. Ankita Sachdev, Joint Director-BRICS CCI, held productive discussions with Ambassador Ambulo, focusing on enhancing trade and cultivating synergies between the two nations through the strategic potential of BRICS and BRICS CCI. This meeting marked a key milestone in pursuing mutual economic prosperity. The BRICS CCI WE leadership also presented the BRICS CCI WE Report 2024 to His Excellency.

BRICS CCI's 46th Governing Body Meeting was held on April 12th, 2024, at Hyatt Regency, New Delhi, chaired by Mr. Sameep Shastri and presided over by Dr. BBL Madhukar. Key discussions included confirming previous meeting minutes, approving new members, and reflecting on past events like the Russia-India 70th Anniversary Trade and Economic Cooperation and Smart City Forum. Future initiatives such as The Healthcare Summit 2024 and The Energy Summit 2024 were outlined, emphasizing collaboration and innovation. Strategies for member engagement, activity diversification, reduced fees for MSMEs and Women Entrepreneurs, and collaboration with GOPIO International were also discussed. The co-option of Mr. Alok Kumar as an Honorary Governing Body Member was unanimously approved. The meeting concluded with expressions of gratitude and renewed commitment to BRICS CCI's mission.

Ms. Ruby Sinha, President - WE Vertical and Governing Body Member, BRICS CCI, Founder- sheatwork.com and MD, Kommune Brand Communications, recently showcased our commitment to empowering women as a Panel Speaker at the prestigious Dainik Jagran Nari Shakti Samman Summit. Her insightful contributions enriched discussions, emphasizing collaboration and learning opportunities. Ms. Sinha's representation reflects our organization's dedication to gender inclusivity and women's leadership. Grateful for the enriching experience, she emphasized collective efforts in advancing women's empowerment. Her participation underscores our organization's global recognition and commitment to driving positive change. Ms. Sinha's exemplary leadership serves as an inspiration as we continue fostering inclusivity and equity.

On March 19, 2024, Mr. Sameep Shastri, Vice Chairman of BRICS CCI, met with His Excellency Dr. Iraj Elahi, the Ambassador of Iran to India at the Embassy of the Republic of Iran. Their discussion focused on leveraging BRICS and BRICS CCI to enhance trade activities and build synergies between our nations. This meeting signifies a pivotal step toward strengthening cooperation and fostering economic growth. We are excited about the potential opportunities that may arise from this collaboration and will keep you updated on progress. Together, we're committed to achieving remarkable milestones in advancing trade relations. 

The BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry recently convened a productive meeting with Ms. Sofia Salas Monge, the Chargé d'affaires a.i., Embassy of Costa Rica in New Delhi on March 18, 2024. Attended by Mr. Sameep Shastri, Vice Chairman, BRICS CCI and Ms. Ankita Sachdev, Joint Director, BRICS CCI, this diplomatic rendezvous marked a significant stride towards fostering stronger bilateral ties and exploring avenues for increased collaboration in trade and investment between BRICS nations and Costa Rica. During the meeting, informative discussions transpired, bolstered by the exchange of valuable resources on trade and investment. As we continue to strengthen ties, we aim to pave the way for increased collaboration, driving sustainable economic growth and prosperity for all involved.

The first edition of the BRICS Innovation Forum was held from 27th August to 29th August in Moscow, Russia. Mr. Sameep Shastri, Vice Chairman, BRICS CCI and Ms. Ankita Sachdev, Joint Director, BRICS CCI graced the event with their presence. This prestigious forum brought together leaders and experts from a myriad of sectors to deliberate on the latest technological trends and innovations shaping the global landscape.

Mr. Shastri expressed his views in a panel discussion on the theme “Space for Business. Prospects for BRICS Business Cooperation”. The discussion centered around identifying the most promising areas of technological cooperation within BRICS, finding ways for more effective cooperation and how to facilitate entrepreneurs’ access to BRICS markets.

The BRICS Cloud City International Innovation Forum also witnessed the  signing of a Memorandum Of Understanding between the BRICS CCI, represented by Mr. Sameep Shastri, Vice Chairman, BRICS CCI and the South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry represented by Mr. Mtho Xulu, Director, SACCI in Moscow

 The 43rd Governing Body Meeting and the first GBM with the newly formed board took place on May 16, 2023. The Governing Body discussed the agenda, vision and mission for the upcoming year. Announcements of the new Vertical Presidents were one of the key highlights. Proposal to introduce five new verticals viz. MSME, Healthcare, Hospitality, SME/ Startups, and Education were duly approved. The meeting ended for the day with the hope that the new term turns out to be the most productive and profitable tenure for the Chamber. 

 BRICS CCI partnered with Enactus Motilal Nehru College, University of Delhi for the "Innovative Business Plan Competition for Inter-College Students- EKADYU" as the Outreach Partner. Ekadyu is an initiative designed to encourage and develop young entrepreneurs by providing a platform for them to showcase their innovative ideas and entrepreneurial skills. The competition aimed to foster a culture of entrepreneurship among students and promote the growth and development of new businesses. Ms. Ruby Sinha, Founder- Sheatwork.com & President- BRICS CCI WE and Captain Praveen Dahiya, army Veteran & Member, BRICS CCI, graced the competition as the judges. The Competition provided a platform for collaboration, networking, and mentorship, which is invaluable for the growth and development of new businesses. The competition also promoted a culture of entrepreneurship among students, which is essential for the economic growth and development of our country. 

 The 11th Annual General Meeting of the BRICS Chamber Of Commerce and Industry was held on May 3rd, 2023 at Hyatt Regency, New Delhi. The meeting was graced with the presence of Returning Officer- Ms. Kalpana Sharma, Formal Additional Secretary, Lok Sabha, Parliament of India. 

The 11th AGM also witnessed the announcement of the names of the elected Governing Body Members as well as the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected Governing Body. 

Taking into account the importance of strengthening business ties between the business communities of Russia and India, forming a positive image of the Russian regions and, in particular, the Ryazan Region, the representatives of the delegation from the Ryazan Region held business negotiations with BRICS CCI members on April 26, 2023, at Hyatt Regency, New Delhi. One of the main purposes of the meeting was to establish business contacts with representatives of Indian companies interested in cooperation with Russia in terms of expanding their production and entering the Russian market. The Russian delegation included1. Mr. Artem Nikitin, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Ryazan Region 2. Ms. Olga Bogacheva, Deputy general director of the development corporation of the Ryazan region 3. Ms. Anna Alebastrova, Chief specialist in investment projects support The Indian side was represented by Dr. BBL Madhukar, Mr. Ashok Kumar Singh, Mr. Sameep Shastri, and other BRICS CCI members. The meeting was a huge success with both sides sharing their ideas and visions with respect to the collaboration with each other. 

 BRICS CCI partnered with Aviakul Private Limited as an Outreach Partner  to successfully organize the 2nd International Conference on Emerging Trends in Aviation MRO Industry on 22 April 2023 at the Indian Aviation Academy in New Delhi. Conceptualized by Mr. Vaibhav Varun, Managing Director, Aviakul Private Limited (Member, BRICS CCI), the event attracted more than 300+ participants to attend the program in person. Lt. Gen. Dharam Vir Kalra, Governing Body Member, BRICS CCI , was a part of the panel discussion on the topic: Convergence of Civil & Defence Applications in the MRO industry. This Conclave was well received among the experts, delegates and participants making it a huge success. 

 BRICS CCI attended the Australia India Business Exchange's 'Future Skills Initiative: strengthening Australia - India collaboration in education and skills' on April 17, 2023 at The High Commission of Australia, New Delhi. Representatives from both the countries came together to discuss and share new ideas in the sector of education and skill development. Our members- Mr. Gulshan Narang, Mr. Vikram Singhal and Ms. Nidhi Goyal attended the meeting and contributed immensely through their great visions for Indo- Australian collaboration in the education sector. Representatives of various Indian Universities like Shiv Nadar University, Bennett University, Sharda University etc. as well as Australian Universities like Deakin University, University of Queensland etc. were in the audience. 

 Mr. Atul Banshal, Director Finance, Omaxe represented BRICS Chamber of Commerce & Industry at BRICS Youth Summit happening at Pretoria, South Africa held from 28th to 30th March, 2023. 

PURPOSE OF THE SUMMIT:

The BRICS Youth Innovation Summit aims to create a BRICS-orientated space that will empower and support young entrepreneurs and innovators already undertaking projects with a prosocial impact in the real world. The summit serves as a meeting point between promising young entrepreneurs and business leaders, investors, partners and experts from across BRICS and the Global South.

BRICS Chambers of Commerce & Industry partnered with The Brand Story for Asian Brand & Leadership Conclave 2023 which was held on 11th March 2023 at DoubleTree by Hilton M Square, Dubai.

The Theme for the conclave was Leadership in VUCA World (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous).

Shri Sameep Shastri, Vice Chairman, BRICS Chamber of Commerce & Industry donned the cap of the Conclave Chairman.

The Conclave was attended by 100 + Global business leaders who are leading and propelling the growth of the nation through their innovative work, and generation of employment, and building a stronger society. 

BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry has organized a meeting with the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Mr. Igor V. Piasetskii, Indian Representative of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Mr. Vasili Andreivich from Russia adorned the meeting with their renowned presence. 

The meeting began with a personal presentation of each member to the Russian representatives, followed by Dr. BBL Madhukar's welcome remarks. In an effort to foster economic prospects, the BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry has welcomed the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Mr. Igor V. Piasetskii introduced himself and put up several business opportunities across Russia. Moreover also promised to introduce Russians with business opportunities in India. He also addressed the meeting by showing the age old relation that India shares with Russia in almost all aspects being it Business or culture. Several eminent members shared their experiences with their Russian counterparts.

All in all the meeting ended with the hope of developing closer ties between the chambers and paving the way for more such meaningful dialogues for mutual success of the two nations.

The guests were welcomed by Dr. B.B.L. Madhukar, Chairman & Director General, BRICS CCI and Mr. Sameep Shastri, Vice Chairman, BRICS CCI.
