Days of the Eurasian People’s Assembly in the Republic of India
BRICS CCI in cooperation with the Eurasian People’s Assembly organized the International Round Table "The New Generation of Eurasia" for the Days of the Eurasian People’s Assembly in the Republic of India, on March 21, 2023 at FORE School of Management, New Delhi.
Representatives of non-governmental organizations, scientific and creative intelligentsia, business community from different countries have established the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations "Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly", whixh conducts systematic work to expand cooperation with partners from different countries of Greater Eurasia. The activity plan of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly includes various projects and events. The practice of holding the Days of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, which were successfully held in France, the United Arab Emirates, Serbia, Bulgaria, Mongolia, Azerbaijan, and Egypt, has proven itself to be positive.
The Days of the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly, which were held in New Delhi from March 20 to March 26, 2023 were intended to promote the establishment of new formats of interaction and the creation of an effective partnership of the Assembly with civil society institutions and authorities of the countries of Eurasia, the establishment of cooperation and dialogue, the study of the unique experience of different countries in public diplomacy.
BBL Madhukar, Chairman and Managing Director, BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry welcomed the Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly to India and emphasized on the opportunities in the sector of education in India. He said, "India as an educational destination provides quality education for 1/3rd of the fee. Therefore, I invite all the countries to consider India for the same.”
Sameep Shastri, Vice Chairman, BRICS Chamber of Commerce & Industry who was also the moderator for the event said, "SCO and BRICS nations have a strong youth body. All the organizations should turn their focus on strengthening the youth bodies."
The event also served as the platform for signing the Cooperation Agreement between the International Union of Non-governmental organizations Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly and BRICS Chamber of Commerce & Industry, 2023.
The round table touched upon various issues of international importance like- New generation of Eurasia: development prospects, SCO - BRICS - EAEU: youth dimension, Youth project exchange. Mechanisms and areas of cooperation in the new context, Interuniversity cooperation, International volunteer cooperation, Cultural integration of the youth of Eurasian countries, Eurasian youth associations as an effective mechanism for involving youth in the integration process etc. Representatives of youth organizations, young leaders, student activists of universities, foreign students, members of the delegation of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly etc. graced the event with their presence.
